 Marsh Lake, Yukon:  2007 water levels (blue line) vs 1981 record highs (dashes);  Rising glacial meltwater is presently 14" (35cm) above six decade records.  By comparing baselines, interference by YTG with discharge flows in 1981 must be questioned.  A similar fiasco may be YTG's forecast for the timing of remedial work compared to that of TrendLines ... a 21-day difference that nudges freeze-up realities.  Click any chart for more!

Evalina and i were fortunate to meet PM Stephen Harper during his visit to the Yukon to open the Canada Winter Games last month.  The PM has cast aside his ideological bias in recent months to facilitate governance rather than Party preference.  It is a strategy that has untold ramifications wrt gaining new sentiment while alienating some core support.
